Health and Physical Education Department

Fitness is not about being better than someone else...

It’s about being better than you used to be.

Lower Moreland Township School District students, in physical education and Health, will maximize his/her physical, social and intellectual potential. All students will obtain the skills, abilities and attitudes to be lifelong learners. They will become productive citizens with integrity, who successfully compete in a changing, global society through a challenging curriculum within a safe, caring environment. Students will learn to comfortably interact with peers and adults, respect human diversity, problem solve and build positive self-awareness and self-concepts to foster personal wellness. Each year physical education and health class will build on previous knowledge and allow for personal, social, emotional, and physical growth. A planned, sequential, and developmentally appropriate curriculum in health/physical education is essential for encouraging students to develop a lifestyle that fosters good health and contributes to the well-being of the community.
